Worth the effort
Today Davie and I took a chance on Ben Nevis and certainly were not dissapointed with the amount of snow and cold temperatures. I had big plans for a hard mixed routes however Dave wasnt so keen on my early season ideas so we settled for the classic Glovers Chimney III,4 which neither of us had done and fit the criteria of being high up on the mountain. On the day the route was in good condition with just a little deep snow and some pretty iced up cracks, certainly a little thin at the start but the short and sweet crux at the top was a great bit of fun. A few other teams out heading toward the Ciste and Catle Ridge area unfortunately it looks like it wont last!
