The forecast suggested a break in the wet weather we have been having recently so with dog in hand we set off to Glen Clova for a high level hill run. Although it was nice and crisp in the glen by the time we made the top of Corrie Kilbo the clag had returned and it was down to map and compass to get us over Dreish (947m), Mayer (928m), Meikle Kilrannoch (883m) and Tom Buidhe (957m) before joining Jocks Road Path for the descent back through Glen Doll. In the end the day became more map and compass than speedy fell running but it was great to be out in the hills feeling fit and light…….
In between the running I have been training at the wall and simply praying for a return to winter. This weekend however, Jane the dogs and I are off to Isle of Harris for a short break following which I hope I may get a couple more days winter before heading back out to work!
