We did rope up and start the first pitch of The Bullroar (HVS) but it really was sopping wet which was a shame as the upper pitches looked passable even though there were clearly some wet streaks over the slabs. After a bit of discussion we decided to have a mountaineering day and opted for Route I which is a very traditional VDiff requiring a load of thrutching up slimy chimneys, not one of our best routes but a laugh to be out and about in the hills again.
Today I have again been in motorhome ‘fixing’ mode, looks like it may take about two weeks to get sorted!!!! With a bit of luck and some bloody hard work we are now looking to leave the UK around the 9th September…….
