After last weeks efforts and I went full swing into this weekends work feeling full of energy and enthusiasm. Saturday I was working on Ben Nevis for Abacus Mountain Guides, I was joined by Merran, Liz and Katrina who were from Australia visiting the UK on a month long trip. During their stay they managed to walk the Wainright Coast to Coast across England raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in aid of MS sufferers. For our adventure they wanted to ascend Ben Nevis by something a little more challenging than the normal path and so we agreed that the CMD arête would fit the bill perfectly. The ladies did extremely well and enjoyed every minute of their day walking and scrambling up the UK’s highest mountain.

Today Jane and I took the dog on a bit of a mission searching out new bits of rock that may have had potential for new routes to go at. Unfortunately our efforts werent rewarded today however, we did have a superb and solitary experience walking around the SE corries of Ben Nevis, a place I had never been before. Our evening was then spent on the beach at Arisaig, where we were treated to a superb sunset and healthy portion of fish and chips!
