I spent last week enjoying some van life with Jane and the pup. We tried our best to avoid some terrible weather by initially travelling east to spend time in Aviemore and Inverness before heading back to the west coast for a couple of days in Torridon, and Applecorss. We had a superb time walking in spectacular scenery whilst taking pictures of amazing sunsets and rutting stag.
This weekend I was back up at Wave with Kev doing allot of cleaning of potential new lines aswell as clearing up some of the old classics and attempting to tidy the crag up a bit. Kev has a new project which looks awesome and of course I got back on the wall again to see if I could make anymore headway. It was at this point I was bemused to see one of the key holds had been broken on the route I have put so much effort into. I mean, I don’t own the rock or the route for that matter, I (we) have however, put in over two weeks of cleaning and projecting which leads to me think I deserve a shot at leading it before some one else comes and tries to climb it! Frustrated but not defeated, I will be back to try and try again!
