3 Days Guiding…..
I have spent the last three days with Claire who battled up snowy routes with Al Halewood last winter. As Al was busy on family holidays Claire was happy to get out with me and experience some of Scotland’s finest routes. We managed to traverse the Aonach Eagach on Monday followed by Tower Ridge yesterday and finishing with the Buachaille’s North Buttress today. A fine haul of routes for Claire who is now eyeing up these routes as potential winter adventures. With such stunning Autumn weather over the three days we were treated to lovely dry rock and solitude in the mountains, the only slight battle came at the top of Tower Ridge where we had to negotiate a bit of frost and freezing temperatures, certainly nothing to complain about – it didnt rain once!
