Since our trip to Ben Udlaidh last week Al and I tried our best to walk into Aonach Beag in deep snow and less than perfect conditions before retreating in favour of saving the legs. I have also been into the CIC Cascades with Kev and Joe to help with a short production from FinalCrux films. The day went well, Euan got all the footage he needed. unfortunately the ice on the middle cascade was soaking wet which was disappointing but Kev still managed to climb a steep shorter route to make the most of the day.
I have also managed a couple of days working on winter skills courses, today being the pick of the bunch as I was joined by Hannah running a day on Aonach Mor for Lochaber Guides. It was simply stunning up high, hardly a breath of wind and in great company. It was one of those days where I couldn’t help but grin thinking – I love my job!
