More Skye Action
I have spent the last four days with Gordon and Duncan who were keen to try and get as many Cuillin Munro’s done as possible. Its no secret that the weather has played a big part on Skye this year and this week was no different. We started with a big day Thursday getting the Inn Pinn, Sgurr na Banachdich and Sgùrr a’ Ghreadaidh done before the heavy rain and high winds set in for the weekend.
Friday we ticked Sgùrr a’ Mhadaidh before getting washed away on Saturday in Coire a’Bhasteir. The guys weren’t all that psyched to head up high in such poor conditions so we turned on our heels and made our way back to the Sligachan for coffee’s and hot soup. Thankfully the winds dropped to a gentle breeze yesterday allowing us to make way over Sgurr Sgumain, Sgurr Alasdair, Sgurr Thearlaich and onto Sgùrr MhicChoinnich before sprinting down the scree’s into Coire Lagan. Another superb week working for Skye Guides.
