Another superb day in the Scottish hills and we weren’t the only ones making the most of it. I was working for Kirkhope Mountaineering, so along with Scott we went to Buachaille Etive Mor and climbed a busy Curved Ridge (III). Scott and I split our four guys into two manageable pairs and stuck together for most of the route. The initial approach is well stepped out and easier than usual, there is some useful snow on the first two pitches and all the rock belays were well cleared making the ‘work’ much simpler. The crux tower was busy so we took an icy gully on the right which enabled us to skip the queues and keep momentum. Guy was also out with his client as was Mark and another instructor all enjoying the warm springlike weather. A super day in stunning conditions, one of the best weather days of the winter!
