I recently returned home from the Alps (blog to follow) and straight back upto Skye for a ‘reverse’ Lagan Round with Chris and Andy. Chris had already done the Pinn but it was still high on Andy’s list of Munros so it was nice to get it done in good weather before tackling MhicCoinnich and Collies Ledge. We did our best to beat the imminent rain and wind but it arrived earlier than forecast so we got a soaking descending the tricky Sgurr Thearlaich before Alasdair.  Although there was little in the way of views, it was nice to be back on Skye helping people achieve their final Skye Munros. In the mist of vehicle issues first thing in the morning I managed to forget my camera – so annoying. I did manage to steel Andy’s for the Pinn and Chris too some good pics too thankfully.

Tuesday I was working for Lochaber Guides, ascending Ledge Route with Amy before completing the horseshoe back down the CMD Arête. Although the day started a little damp and greasy it soon cleared up and we were treated to amazing views all the way from the summit back around the Arête. The only tar on the day was the graffiti on the summit trig point?! Who decides its OK to take a marker and write all over the top of the Ben. Nothing left to do but head back up and scrub it off!
