Last week I was back working for Skye Guides this time with Carl who had booked 5 days in the hope of getting a Cuillin Traverse done. The weather was challenging to say the least but in-between all the stormy skies we managed to grab a weather window and get a big first day under the belt. Following a wet bivi at Bealach na Glaic Moire we were rewarded with blue skies and superb views to finish off the final push to Sgurr nan Gillean.

Today Iv’e been working for Lochaber Guides with Renee and Edwin, who were in Lochaber to compete in yesterdays Glencoe Marathon. Today we spent some time learning navigation skills so they can return and tackle the Munros in more typical Scottish conditions. We used an area North of Ballaculish which is great for this purpose as its challenging terrain with little in the way of paths. A nice chilled out way to finish off a busy period of work.
