I love the wild weather Scotland can throw at you, its what makes climbing here so much fun! As forecast it was breezy in the hills today but thankfully pretty dry, not that my eyes think that as they were pummeled with snow being blitzed around the crags and up into the atmosphere. I was out shadowing Ken taking Jess and Rich up the East Ridge of Stob Ban, a route I hadn’t done before but thought would be useful for teaching on. As their first proper winter route it was a baptism of fire for Jess and Rich who looked to have a great time despite the wind. We descended the North Ridge making for a quick getaway before things got really windy this evening.
