We managed to get a last minute booking with Vertical Fever for a novice day learning winter skills. Our guide Steve was exceptional, not only was he patient but we learned so much and have to say, I cannot wait to book another course with him in the near future –

Scotland in the depths of winter can bring particularly challenging weather. Physical and mental fitness are essential to your enjoyment and learning so arriving feeling fit and mobile will only enhance your ability to soak up the instruction and give you the best chance of using your new skills.
Our Winter Skills Courses are delivered on a maximum ratio of 1 guide to every 4 participants. For large group bookings it is cheaper to book some Private Guiding.
Meeting and timings
Expect to meet your Instructor the evening prior to your start date, this allows fitting of any technical equipment to allow maximum time on the hill the following day. As the day of your booking approaches your Instructor will be in contact to discuss any final arrangements and discuss the prevailing weather forecast.
